South Africa is located at the southern tip of the African continent. Area 1214 Sq. Kms and Coastline 2798KMs.Cape Town is the legislative capital while other major cities are Johannesburg (largest city), Pretoria(administrative Capital) and Bloemfontein (judicial capital).

Climate: semiarid, subtropical along east coast

Political Structure: South Africa has a Republic government with 9 provinces, namely, Eastern Cape,Free State, Gauteng, KwaZulu-Natal, Limpopo, Mpumalanga, Northern Cape, North-West, Western Cape.President elected by the National Assembly for a five-year term (eligible for a second term Election last held on 6 May 2009 and next to be held in 2014.African national congress (ANC) is in power since 1994.
